Dear Master Students,
The Master Student Seminar has always been organized as a key part of the Annual Conference of the European Association for Sport Management. This year, under the motto "Sport Management Live In Madrid", we are proud to continue this tradition and offer you an extraordinary international experience hosted by the leading Universidad Europea de Madrid (UEM) and the Real Madrid International School, from 3 to 7 September 2011.
During 3 intense days, sport management students from all over the world will work together on real life cases presented to them by leading companies and organizations. Each cross-cultural student group has to come up with the best innovative solution, based on academic knowledge, practical experience and extensive research. The 3 best groups will get the unique opportunity to present their proposal at the EASM Conference, before a large audience of international experts and practitioners at the spectacular auditorium of the official venue, the five star Hotel Meliá Castilla located at the city centre.
Students and tutors will be accommodated at the Campus of the UEM in Villaviciosa de Odon, being offered access to state-of-the-art academic and sport facilities. Of course there will also be a social programme, including a sports tournament, a visit to the beautiful monumental spot ´El Escorial´ and a Spanish dinner in the Madrilenian sierra.
Once the Seminar is over, students and tutors will be transferred to a central accommodation Hotel Petit Palace Italia, so as to take part in the annual EASM Conference until its official closing. This will give you a chance to access the latest updates in the sport management field, interact with leading practitioners and academics and start building an international network of your own.
We are convinced that this is an extraordinary opportunity for Sport Management Master Students around the world to participate in an inspiring, challenging and memorable event in one of the most vibrant and modern cities in Europe.
